Unison Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Unison is a free piano tuning app for iPhone and iPad. Unison does not collect any data.
Microphone audio
Unison uses the microphone to hear your piano and measure pitch and the beats between strings. The audio is analyzed on your device, in memory, while you tune. Unison never records audio to a file, never stores it, and never sends it anywhere.
Data we collect
None. Unison has no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash reporting service. The app does not connect to the internet.
Data stored on your device
- Settings such as A4, temperament and display choice.
- Piano files (name, tuning reference, measured inharmonicity, tuning history) in Files > On My iPhone > Unison.
These files leave your device only when you share or export them, or when your own device backup includes them. Delete the app to delete all of this data.
Children
Unison does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Third parties
Unison contains no third-party code that collects data. We do not sell or share data, because we have none.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
