Microsoft 365 automation for fund administrators and financial services firms
I build Power Automate flows and Copilot Studio agents inside your Microsoft 365 tenant. They read the PDFs and emails your team handles by hand, check the numbers, and put the result in SharePoint, Excel or Teams. A person approves anything doubtful.
- Fixed scope, fixed price. From $2,000 for one document flow. From $3,000 for one Copilot Studio agent.
- 5 to 10 working days per workflow.
- Written acceptance tests agreed before I start. You pay the second half only when they pass.
- Your data stays in your tenant.
Write 3 lines: the task, the documents it starts from, and how many per month.
Who this is for
Teams in regulated financial services that run on Microsoft 365 and still move data between PDFs, Outlook, SharePoint and Excel by hand:
- Fund administrators and fund managers
- Corporate services and trust companies
- Finance, operations and compliance teams in other financial services firms
You already pay for Microsoft 365. You want the work done inside it, not in one more SaaS tool that your IT and risk teams must review.
What I automate
Typical workflows. Each one starts as a single flow with its own tests.
- Invoice checks. A PDF lands in a SharePoint library or a mailbox. The flow extracts the fields, checks totals, VAT, IBAN and duplicates, and writes a row to Excel. Doubtful invoices go to a review queue.
- Capital call and distribution notices. Read the notice, extract investor, amount and due date, compare with the register in Excel, and draft the emails for a person to approve.
- Document intake and extraction. Statements, contracts, forms and onboarding documents into structured rows, with a confidence score per field.
- Reconciliations. Match two sources, for example a bank export and a ledger sheet, and list only the breaks for a person to review.
- Approval flows. Approvals in Teams and Outlook, with a full log of who approved what and when.
- Report generation. Build a recurring Excel or Word report from SharePoint lists and files, then send it for review before it goes out.
- A knowledge agent on your documents. A Copilot Studio agent in Teams that answers staff questions from your SharePoint policies and procedures, with a link to the source file.
Two packages
One workflow each. Half at kickoff, half when the acceptance tests pass.
Power Automate + AI document flow
From $2,000 · 5 working days
Invoice, notice or contract PDFs arrive in SharePoint or Outlook. Checked data lands in Excel. Anything doubtful goes to a person first.
What you get
- A trigger on a SharePoint library or an Outlook mailbox
- AI extraction of the fields you name, with AI Builder or your own Azure OpenAI
- Business checks, for example totals add up, VAT rate and VAT ID valid, IBAN checksum, dates, duplicates
- A confidence score per field and a review queue for low scores
- Approval in Teams and Outlook, then the row is updated in Excel Online
- Error alerts to your admin, with a link to the failed run
Acceptance tests
- A run on 30 of your real documents: every field we agree as required is checked
- Every planted error in a test batch reaches the review queue
- No document with a failed check is written as approved
- A correction in the review queue is checked again before it is accepted
Copilot Studio agent on your SharePoint documents
From $3,000 · 10 working days
An agent that answers staff questions from your SharePoint documents. It cites the source file and respects who can see what.
What you get
- An agent built in Copilot Studio on your SharePoint sites and libraries
- Answers with a link to the source document
- Sign-in with Microsoft, so each user only gets content they can already open
- Published to Microsoft Teams
- A test set of 20 to 30 real questions, written with your team
- A handover document and a 1-hour session for your admin
Acceptance tests
- At least 90% of the test questions answered correctly, each with a source link
- Questions the documents do not cover get "I don't know", never an invented answer
- A user without access to a file never gets content from it, checked with 2 real users
- Your admin can add or remove a knowledge source without me
14-day warranty. For 14 days after acceptance, I fix for free any case where the build fails an acceptance test on the same kind of input it passed on. No hourly billing, no change request.
Demo: 6 of 6 planted errors caught
A demo on synthetic data. Not a client project.
I ran the document flow pipeline on 13 invoices that I generated myself, in 4 layouts. 6 of them had one planted error each: a wrong total, a bad VAT ID, a bad IBAN checksum, a due date before the issue date, a VAT rate the country does not use, and a duplicate. An LLM and a rule set read each PDF, then 11 business checks ran.
| Result | Value |
|---|---|
| Planted errors sent to review | 6 / 6 |
| False alarms | 0 |
| Fields read correctly | 100% |
| Clean invoices approved with no person | 6 / 7 |
| Automated tests on the pipeline | 19, all pass |
The 7th clean invoice used a layout the rule set had never seen. Only the LLM could read it, so it went to a person. That is the intended behavior: one unchecked read never approves an invoice.
The vendors are Microsoft sample names, and the IBANs belong to nobody. Your own documents get their own accuracy report before you pay the second half.
How it works
- Day 0, scoping call. 30 minutes, free. We pick one workflow, the fields or questions, and the acceptance tests, in writing.
- Day 1, access and test set. You give me a test account and sample documents. I work in a test environment first, never on live data.
- Build, with daily updates. A short written update every day: what works, what is next. You can try it from day 3.
- Last day, acceptance. We run the acceptance tests together. You pay the second half only when they pass.
Who builds it
Me, Narek Maloyan. You talk to the engineer who builds the flow, not to an account manager.
- 50+ Power Automate flows in 2026 in regulated financial services, plus Power Pages apps, Copilot Studio agents over PDFs, and Outlook and SharePoint flows. All generated from code, so every change is versioned and reviewed.
- AI engineer. I build AI agents for a living. My team's agents reached 70% on SWE-bench Verified, #1 in May 2025. See projects.
- 7+ years of production ML and a PhD in Computer Science. About me.
Client names, data and documents from past work stay private. I do not show them, and I will not show yours.
Questions
Does our data leave our tenant?
No. The flows and the agent run in your Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environments. If a flow needs a model outside AI Builder, it calls your own Azure OpenAI resource.
How do you handle security and access?
I work with a test account that you create and control, in a test environment first. The agent signs users in with Microsoft, so a person only gets answers from files they can already open. You can remove my access the day the acceptance tests pass.
How long does it take?
5 working days for one document flow. 10 working days for one Copilot Studio agent. The clock starts when I have access and sample documents.
What do you need from us?
A Microsoft 365 tenant, a test account for me, and 20 to 30 sample documents or questions. The document flow needs Power Automate Premium or AI Builder credits. The agent needs Copilot Studio or Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses. I tell you exactly which on the scoping call.
How much does it cost?
From $2,000 for one document flow and from $3,000 for one Copilot Studio agent. The price is fixed in writing after the scoping call. Half at kickoff, half when the acceptance tests pass. Microsoft licenses are not included.
What if our process is bigger than one workflow?
We start with one workflow at a fixed price. When it passes its tests, I quote the next one.
Start with one workflow
Email me the task, the documents it starts from, and the volume per month. I reply with questions or a time for a 30-minute scoping call.
